VT Student Accelerated Option

The Accelerated Master's Degree Program is for Virginia Tech undergraduate students who are interested in pursuing graduate studies at Virginia Tech. Students must be accepted into the program before the beginning of the semester in which they would enroll in courses to be used in the accelerated program.

The Pamplin College of Business (PCoB) offers an accelerated program that enables students to earn credit toward a Master of Science in Business Administration, Hospitality, and Tourism Management (MSBA-HTM) degree while they are completing the requirements for their Bachelor of Science Business, Hospitality and Tourism. This 4+1 five-year program provides qualified students with a unique opportunity to advance in the field of hospitality and tourism.

During their senior year, admitted students will take up to 12 credit hours of undergraduate coursework in the HTM Program. The 12 credit hours of undergraduate coursework will fulfill both graduate and undergraduate requirements. At the end of their fourth year, students should have completed all undergraduate requirements to receive their bachelor’s degree.

In the summer or fall after graduating, during their fifth year, students will complete credit hours of graduate coursework required for the MSBA-HTM program and earn a Master of Science in Business Administration, Hospitality, and Tourism Management degree.
