Ali Koger

In her role as a Senior Producer at leading event and media agency, VIVA Creative in Rockville, Maryland, Ali Koger develops and executes major national and international award-winning events. Some of her recent favorites include the New York Times New Rules Summit, the Verizon Media Newfront, and the Mastercard Leadership Meeting. The Covid-19 pandemic has not slowed Ali down: she’s adapted, leveraging her expertise to pivot to virtual events too, including the Spring 2020 Virginia Tech Virtual Commencement and the George H.W. Bush Points of Light Awards Celebration. 

Ali tells us “I discovered that the Feiertag HTM department offers so many amazing opportunities: smaller class sizes which allow more 1-on-1 interaction; advice and guidance from the professors; a field study that helped me discover what I wanted to do after graduation and get that necessary experience, which I was very grateful for; numerous scholarship opportunities; career fairs; and interactive classes. These different opportunities allowed me to grow, network and paint a clear picture of the direction I wanted for my hospitality career path following graduation.” As a young alumna, Ali has already given back, speaking to classes on campus, serving as a panelist on the HTM Advisory Board, and being a part of the Pamplin College Recent Alumni Board.
