Many of our undergrad students spend their summers in Internships, clocking field study hours and gaining experience in the workplace.

Daniel Ruppenicker is a senior in the HTM Program.  Daniel spent his summer in the Internship Program at Hilton Worldwide.  Based on what he wrote on linkedin (see his words below) it sounds like it was 10 weeks well spent and will propel him into his career after graduation.  THANK YOU Hilton Worldwide for giving students such amazing opportunities!

“As summer comes to a close, I’ve had the opportunity to reflect on my 10-week internship at Hilton’s Worldwide Headquarters in McLean, Virginia. Serving as a Media Intern on the Global Media Strategy and Planning Team, this experience has far exceeded my expectations. I had the opportunity to work on impactful projects, gaining deep insights into marketing tactics, audience analysis, and strategy implementation. This was all possible because I had such an amazing team.

I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to, Rebecca Panico, Jessica Anderson Kelly Amato, Angelique McKenna, Lauren Richmond, Maddie (., and Zachary Brumback. Your guidance and willingness to answer my questions allowed me to learn and grow every day. I’m grateful for the chance to take on challenging tasks with your support.

A special shoutout to Lauren Richmond, my amazing internship advisor, for setting me up for success and ensuring I had everything I needed to thrive. Your mentorship made all the difference in my experience.

I’d also like to thank the fantastic HR team—Sarah Reid Fletcher, Priscilla Mint, Magen Bentley, Tracy C., Julia Gaiser, and Jennifer Nesbit for organizing and executing such a well-structured internship program. Your efforts did not go unnoticed.

Lastly, I want to express my appreciation to Gerald Booker for his mentorship and advocacy throughout my internship. Your support was invaluable to my growth this summer.

There’s a reason why Hilton is the #1 Great Place To Work US, and it’s evident in the incredible culture of support, connection, and teamwork. I looked forward to coming to work each day because of the amazing people and positive environment. I am so grateful for all of the meaningful connections I made during these past 10 weeks.”
