Why did you choose the MSBA-HTM program?

Hospitality has always been my passion since high school. My journey began in boarding school, where I was drawn to volunteering, scouting, and planning events. These early experiences ignited my interest in creating meaningful experiences for others. After completing my bachelor's degree and gaining industry experience, I realized I wanted to deepen my knowledge and skills. That’s when I decided to pursue a master’s degree. After researching programs across various countries, the MSBA-HTM program stood out for its focus on advanced skills tailored to the evolving needs of the global hospitality industry."

Career Aspirations

Currently, Niharika is exploring her career options, but her keen interest lies in Food and Beverage Management. "The food and beverage sector is so dynamic and intertwined with emerging dietary trends and preferences. I want to contribute to this field by bridging guest expectations with innovative and inclusive menu designs."

Industry Challenges and Solutions

The MSBA-HTM program is equipping me with advanced knowledge and practical skills to address modern hospitality challenges. For instance, the industry faces significant challenges in meeting dietary preferences, such as vegan or gluten-free options. My coursework helps me understand how to create strategic and innovative solutions to address these trends effectively.

Academic Focus

In her "Contemporary Issues in the Hospitality Industry" course, Niharika is exploring The Impact of Vegan and Gluten-Free Diets on Restaurant Menu Design. She shares: "I chose this topic because dietary preferences are growing rapidly, with more guests seeking personalized and health-conscious dining options. It’s a pressing challenge for restaurants and hotels to adapt without compromising quality or operational efficiency. Through my research, I hope to offer insights that can help the food and beverage sector anticipate and meet these demands."
