Zheng Xiang is Associate Professor in the Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management at Virginia Tech. He received his Ph.D. in Business Administration from the Fox School of Business at Temple University. His research focuses on the impact of information technology on hospitality and tourism with a range of topics including travel information search behavior, social media marketing, and business analytics. He teaches courses related to IT, marketing and business analytics in HTM at both undergraduate and graduate levels. He is a recipient of Emerging Scholar of Distinction award by the International Academy for the Study of Tourism. He is also a board member of International Federation for IT and Travel & Tourism (IFITT) and editorial board member of several international journals including Journal of Business Research, Journal of Travel Research, and Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Research.
